Crelda (a.k.a. Fay) Shinault Kennebrew was born July 30, 1967 in Nesbit, Mississippi to the late Willie (Bill) Shinault Jr. and the late Violet M Shinault. Although Memphis, TN was her hometown, she permanently moved to Seattle, WA in her late 20’s. Fay professed her life to Christ at the young age of 15. Fay fell asleep in death on April 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gerald Kennebrew, her parents – Willie Shinault Jr. and Violet M Shinault, and her brothers – Charles Maxwell (Renee) and Kenny Wayne Tuggle. Fay’s faith was deep and abiding, taking strength and comfort from prayer and God. While Fay faced many struggles in her life, she faced them with faith, humility and gratitude for each new day. It would be wrong to say that Fay lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When
anyone else would have broken, Fay stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Fay. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.

She leaves to cherish her memories to so many who love her and will miss her. Three daughters – Yasha Jones (Luther), Denise Williams (Ousman) and Angel Shinault (Ricardo). Three sons – Terry Shinault (Jae), Donald Shinault (Shanice), and Mario Shinault. One sister – Crystal Shinault, five brothers -Robert Bell, William Maxwell, Hester Maxwell, (Carlene), Randy Shinault (Cynthia) and Jessie Shinault. A host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Crelda’s chuckling laugh, caring and loving spirit will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
