Obituary
Tajahmin (Taj) Kijafa Johnson, born September 25, 1976, to
Greg Johnson and Louise Shaw in Frankfurt, Germany. He
passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2022 in
Puyallup,
Washington.
Taj moved to St Louis, Missouri at a young age and attended
trade school that involved working with masonry. He was
always intrigued and fascinated with bricks and how they
came together to build something. You could say, he truly
followed his passion and excelled at his masonry work for the
past 22 years.
He was a dedicated family man and had a very kind and
giving heart. He believed in a higher power and read the
Quran and Bible regularly. He loved to watch sports and
enjoyed the history channel. It always intrigued him, he loved
to learn a little something about everything. He also enjoyed
metal detecting, bike riding, and watching comedy shows. He
especially loved family time and being a grandfather.
Taj met Natasha October 9, 2011 in Denver, Colorado, it
was love at first sight for both of them. They were wed on
December 13, 2014 and relocated to Washington in 2015 due
to an employment promotion.
He would often remind Natasha “Bae” that our love is forever
and you are my soulmate. I will always love you and our
family. It truly was “Our love, our way till death do us part”
Taj had the best sense of humor and loved to make people
laugh and smile. Taj will forever be missed and in our hearts
forever.
He had a special bond with his son Elijah, Elijah would go to him
for everything! He was his best friend, but always kept a clear
line with being a parent first. Taj loved metal detecting with Elijah,
just one of the many things they enjoyed doing together.
Taj also had a special bond with Natasha’s mom, Gwen Barkley
and niece Nay Nay. Taj was so proud of our son Zekhi being in
the fireman program and excelling he wanted nothing but good
things for all of the children.
Tajahmin was preceded in death by his brother, Quarron
Johnson.
Left to cherish his beautiful memory, wife Natasha Johnson;
daughters Khadijah Malone, Ziamaria Brown, Gianna Johnson,
sons; Quinn Johnson, Giovanni Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Zekhi
Blades and JKhara Knight; grandson Ace and Granddaughter
Amoura’Lynn, parents Greg and Louise Johnson. He also leaves
behind a host of family, friends, coworkers that truly loved him
and will miss him.
