Bentee George Dallas was born on April 24, 1961, at Ramey AFB in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He was one of four children born into the union of James W. Dallas and Alender C. Dallas. With his family, he moved around frequently as a child. This introduced him to many places and many cultures. Bentee thrived in this environment, making connections and friends all over.
He was an avid reader of Science Fiction, comic books, and his Bible. In Jr. High and High school, he wrestled participating in the State tournament. Bentee was a whizz at numbers. At Lincoln High School he was one of five students placed in an advanced math course. He graduated in 1979 then continued his education at the New Mexico Military Institute. Afterwards he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army and began employment out at Camp Murray.
In 198 Bentee was blessed with a baby boy named Jason. In the summer of 1996 he married Angela Babauta in Reno, Nevada . Their union produced two daughters; Alendra and Jaimie.
Bentee enjoyed family get togethers and never missed a chance to challenge anyone to a game of “Bones” or “Spades”. He also loved taking his children on vacations, i.e., our annual trip to Ocean Shores. We were always treated to his adventurously delicious cooking skills. He will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor and entertaining honesty.
Fueling his adventurous character, Bentee journeyed to Alaska and became a crab fisherman. Later on Bentee developed his entrepreneurial spirit and began a pressure washing company then he began a carpet laying business.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Alender Dallas, wife Angela Dallas, Sisters Algerita Mustin and Janderia Burrell, son Jason Pate, daughter Jaimie Dallas, and four grandchildren (Josiah, Zaccheus, Kemonee, and Dallas), brother-in-law Waheed Burrell, niece Christara, great niece Vanshae, great nephews DeMarion and Keyondre and a host of very good friends and relatives.
