Darren Dwayne Valentine, age 46, known as “Bobby Slicce” was born in Harlem, New York City on March 18, 1976 to his parents Nadine Smith and Author Valentine Sr. He went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2022. Darren attended and graduated from Wilson High School in Tacoma, WA followed by some college. Darren worked in the Casino Gaming business all of his adult life. Darren enjoyed coaching youth basketball and football, spending time with his children, family, and friends, and making music. Making music brought him peace and happiness. Darren was a devoted, loving, and caring father and always cheerful with a big smile on his face. He is preceded in death by both his maternal grandparents and aunt Diane Ince. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Nadine Smith and Author Valentine Sr., five children, Shameek Valentine, Devin Valentine, Tahmani Valentine, Dquari Valentine, and Daevi Valentine; siblings, Barson Collins, Christopher Lewis Jr., Krishanda Lewis, Marvin Smith Jr., Author Valentine Jr. Alexis Valentine, Diamondnick Valentine, and Amari Valentine; one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Mr. Valentines will be held December 27, 2022, at Edwards Temple 1107 S 21st St, Tacoma, WA 98405
