Obituary
Janeese Francis Faison was born July 24, 1956, in Elizabeth,
NJ and transitioned from this life October 1, 2024, in Tacoma,
Washington.
Janeese was raised and educated in the Elizabeth public
school system and later furthered her education at Pacific
Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
In 1975, Janeese met her soulmate Ricky Faison and in 1978
they were united in marriage, in this union their greatest joy
was created, Lakiesha. Together this family began a journey of
love, family, devotion and commitment that spanned 48 years.
United together they traveled the world until relocating to
Tacoma, Washington in 1983, where Janeese lived until her
passing.
Janeese was a loving, supportive, thoughtful and devoted wife,
mother, sister, aunt and friend who believed in family and
faith. She remembered every birthday and always took the
time to call or send a card for your special day. Janeese enjoyed
spending time playing board games, watching football (Go
Steelers), doing crosswords and chillin with dog
Bear. Sundays were family and faith time at the Last Days
Ministries Community Christian Center for fellowship and
worship. She leaves a legacy of kindness, warmth, laughter. Janeese
was predeceased by her mother Juwel Snead, her parents Willie Mae
and Joseph Banks Sr., her brothers Joseph Banks Jr,
Jerome Banks, Daniel Banks, David Banks, Robert Banks,
her nephew Shakir Manns.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Ricky
Faison and her daughter Lakiesha Faison. 3 brothers Rasheed
(Mildred) Banks of Elizabeth, NJ; Lateef (Tasha) Banks of
Elizabeth, NJ and Odell Snead of, Brooklyn, NY. 3 sisters
Theodocia Banks of Georgia, Sharifa Banks and Fatima Banks
of Elizabeth, NJ. 1 brother-in-law William Faison of Lumberton,
NC. 2 sisters-in-law Gloria Faison and Althea Faison both of
Tacoma, Washington. 1 dear Uncle Winston Guy of Elizabeth,
NJ. 3 aunts Doris Allen of Brooklyn, NY, Mildred Smith of
Kentucky, and Ida B. Guy of Edison, NJ, Shiela Carter of
Roselle, NJ, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and
loved ones.
