Life and Legacy
John Smith IV was born Tuesday April 21, 1987 at Tacoma General Hospital to parents Cherie and John. He left this world too soon November 23, 2019. John was a character, his charm and dancing made him a star. It was a party wherever John was.
John was naturally athletic. At the age of 6 years old he began playing foot ball for the Puyallup Riders until he was 9 years old. He then attended New Jerusalem Christian Academy and excelled as a  student until he transitioned to Lincoln High School for his freshman year of high school. John shined in academics; as well as, sports. He played basketball but owned any football field his cleats touched. After graduation a quick game of basketball was soothing to John. As an avid fan he was protective of his football teams: Philadelphia Eagles and the Florida Seminoles. He enjoyed placing friendly wagers with friends on whose team was going to win an upcoming game. As a great sportsman he wore Seahawks gear for a day after losing one of the wagers.
John was his mother’s sunshine and his grandmother’s baby boy. His family was his world and time spent with them was precious. If the situation was tight you could talk him into anything to help even giving money. Throughout his adult life his most memorable job was working at Amazon as part of a specialized install team establish new sites and gave him an opportunity to experience life outside of Washington. John will be forever missed and always loved. He is survived by his mother Cherie Page; siblings Arianna, Ashanti, Katlyne, and Janiesa. Aunt Frankie Davis and uncle Tony Smith.
