Obituary for Johnny Garcia Sr.

Johnny Garcia Sr. was born on February 20, 1945, in Yakima, Washington, to Ernistine  Ybarra Sanchez and Nicasio Garcia. He passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, in Puyallup, WA.

Johnny was a hard worker throughout his life, deeply family-oriented, and cherished his loved ones. A simple man with a free spirit, he found joy in fishing and caring for all kinds of animals. He was beloved by many.

He is survived by his three children: Johnny Garcia Jr. of Spanaway, WA; Tina Fredericks of New Mexico; and Zackery “Chico” Garcia of West Seattle. Johnny came from a large family and had five siblings: his twin, Jimmie Garcia of Kent, WA; Mary Helen Morrison of Delaware; and Maria Paxton of Yakima, WA. He was preceded in death by his siblings Nick Garcia Jr. and Lola Garcia, as well as his parents, Ernistine Ybaraa Sanchez and Nicasio Garcia.

Johnny was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
