MALEK SHAQUIR HOLLOMAN, son of Ursula R. Holloman

 And William Watson, was born in Tacoma, Washington on November 19, 1992.  He abruptly departed this life on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

Malek, also affectionately known as “Pookie” (by his mother) but also known as “Lek,” was christened at Eastside Baptist Church at the early age f one month old.  He attended public schools in Tacoma and Newport News, Virginia.  He returned to Tacoma and attended Clover Park Technical College, where he had a desire to be a music producer.  At the time of his passing, Malek was employed as a construction worker.

“Lek” was energetic, inquisitive, warm hearted, and loved his family.  With a sanctified spirit, and a caring attitude, Malek always said, “Blessed to see another day.”  He made friends easily and connected with his cousins, nationwide and maintained a strong relationships with them throughout his life.  Malek was an avid reader and was very knowledgeable, as a result.  He also cherished music, feeling that music has a meaning, and was a good dancer.  His dog, Bella, also gave him joy.  Over the years, Malek acquired an impressive talent in cooking, another one of his passions.

    Since I met him in 1st grade he was always such a sweetheart. When I heard that my first love had passed away my heart broke into so many pieces.
