Michael Dion McLeod was born December 1, 1972 in Trenton, NJ to Helen Alexander and the late Delano McLeod Sr. Michael is preceded in death by his step father Richard E Archie Sr and step brother Richard E Archie Jr. Michael was educated in the Tacoma Educational School District, he completed masonry training at the Job Corps Center in Sedro Woolley.

He worked various job positions at Miligard Industries before his health began to fail in response to the debilitating conditions of diabetes and dialysis. In between extended hospital stays and tri-weekly dialysis treatment he still found time to spend with friends and family. He especially enjoyed when his youngest son Silas came to visit during the summer. He was always excited to attend the Alexander Family Reunions in Florida to explore and share his ancestral lineage with his children.

Michael had pool shark skills and was able to earn some “lunch money” from a few close friends. In addition to getting lunch money, he and his circle of friends won a few trophies to highlight their prowess around the pool table. Everyone that knew “Big Mike” was aware of his passion for the Seattle Seahawks; not just an avid fan, but a rabid fan. He was fortunate enough to attend a few home games and away games in Atlanta and San Francisco. Although the trips impacted his mobility, it didn’t keep him from supporting his beloved Seahawks. Michael had a long relationship with cars that he appears to have inherited from his father who was a master mechanic. His favorite vehicle, which was almost as old as he was, was a 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.

When Michael wasn’t devouring his mom’s mac n cheese, beef stew {his last meal before he died} and mash potatoes, he would follow Big Arch’s recipe for Alabama Gumbo and barbeque ribs. Most will remember his easy smile and his look of “ I got this”, his willingness to help, love of his children and God. There is a lot to remember about Big Mike, but never forget that he cared so much and suffered so deeply the last years of his life. Through the many, many surgeries, treatments, setbacks and painful conditions……he did Not complain. He placed his trust in the Lord to fight his battles.
Michael leaves to remember and celebrate his life; mother Helen Archie, daughters; Aajenee (Brandyn) Johnson, Mikasa McLeod, sons; Michael McLeod, Silas McLeod, sisters; Andrea McLeod, Nadine McLeod, brothers; Delano McLeod Jr, Ronald (Joan) Archie and very special friend that brought sunshine into his last days; Charletta Lewis. Aunts and uncles in New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Florida; many cousins including his cuzzo Staci Oliver, dear friends just to name a few; Rob, Chris, Benny, Jeff, Mouse and others.
