Miles James Christian, b. September 10th 1998, was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend to many. Like his parents, who are professional musicians, Miles was on his way to studying music as a major with a psychology minor at a four year university after recently graduating from Curtis High School. A talented percussionist and an alumni of the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association, he was selected to perform alongside his teacher with the Tacoma Symphony. Miles was also studying guitar and voice and was in the process of completing his first solo album and performed with his band. He had just received his driver’s license, a new job, and was completing his AA Degree at Tacoma Community College. Miles enjoyed horror movies, concerts, anime, and video games. He also loved to do community service and performed for Evergreen State College’s alumni events.
Miles unexpectedly passed in his sleep of still unknown causes at his home in University Place on November 5th 2018. He leaves behind loving parents (Jeannie and Leon), a younger brother (Marcus), grandparents (Bernie and George), and a legacy of friendships and community spirit. He will forever be missed and was loved by all who knew him.
