Patrick was an imperfect person, like all of us, but he was dearly loved by his family and friends. He was born a preemie on June 22, 1982 and named after his grandmother Patricia. As a child the sunshine would turn his dark hair golden blonde around the crown of his head. Growing up, Patrick would always take on the role of protector–he always looked out for those who were being treated unjustly and tried to help.

He loved to write and draw, especially fantasy images of dragons, castles, and other worlds. Patrick was a great cook, and loved to cook for his mom, Kendra. The last meal he made for her was waffles.

Patrick left this world too soon, but let us find solace in God and the words found in Isaiah 40: 28-31:
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

We hope you will hold happy memories of Patrick in your hearts, as we will. He was loved and will be missed.

A community memorial service is being planned to celebrate his life and memory Sunday January 10, 2021 12-2pm at Evergreen State College 1210 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405.

    My heart goes out to the family and friends of Patrick. I lost a loved one in April to gun violence in Tacoma too. Prayers that you can take comfort in each other, that you aren’t grieving alone. I wish you justice for the wrongful death of your loved one, in hopes it will ease your grief. May Patrick rest peacefully in paradise.
