Mr. Peter James Little, of Milton, WA, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the age of 87. Peter was born to parents Eric and Nellie Little on June 1, 1932 in Aylesbury, England. He grew up as an only child and graduated from the Aylesbury Grammar School and the London School of Economics. Later, in the early 1970s, Peter received a Master of Science Degree from the University of Washington. In 1955, Peter married Valerie V. Richardson. After serving in the Royal Air Force, Peter started life as an aeronautical engineer at British Aerospace in Bristol, England. During this time, Peter and Valerie Little had two children: Timothy and Jonathan. In 1966, Peter was hired by the Boeing Company, and he and his young family relocated from England to the Seattle, WA area. They settled in Bellevue, WA., where they raised their family. Peter worked for Boeing his entire career, eventually retiring in 1998 as Corporate Manager, International Affairs in Washington DC, where he monitored Boeing sales to ensure deals met international laws. This job allowed Peter to meet with many foreign dignitaries, including the King and Queen of Sweden and the Sultan of Brunei. After his retirement, the couple settled in Amissville, VA where they enjoyed living in their “cabin in the woods”. They moved back to the Seattle area to be closer to their two sons in 2015, and settled at Meridian at Stone Creek in Milton, WA. Peter was a lifelong sports fan. In England, he played cricket, rugby and football (soccer) in his youth.  After moving to the US, Peter learned to appreciate, and, eventually, to love American football, baseball, and basketball.  One of his great loves in life was to settle down in his favorite chair to watch “his” Sounders and Seahawks on TV.  Peter also loved the outdoors. He particularly enjoyed taking his young family on hiking trips in the Cascade Mountains and skiing trips at Snoqualmie Pass. Later in life, he enjoyed walking in the Shenandoah Mountains near his home in Virginia. Peter is survived by his wife, Valerie Little; his son, Timothy Little; and son, Jonathan Little; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family has opted for a cremation, and no formal services are planned at this time. However, the family is considering a celebration of life at a later date when current Covid-19 quarantines are lifted.  The family is grateful for all of the kind words and condolences they have received, but respectfully declines flowers and donation
