It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Alan Crozier, who departed this life on September 30, 2024 in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 69. A 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, Richard served his country with honor and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and commitment. Following his retirement from the military, he continued his life of service by working at Western State Hospital, where he spent twenty-nine (29) years helping those in need.
Richard leaves behind his beloved wife, Bessie Ann Crozier, who stood by his side through the many seasons of his life. He is also survived by his children—Richard Crozier II, Khalila Crozier, Michael Crozier, Lamont Doss, and Dominique Doss—and his grandchildren, all of whom will carry on his memory and the lessons he imparted. His love for his family was deep, and he treasured the time spent with each of them.
He was a man of strength, loyalty, and kindness, who touched many lives through his work, his service, and his presence. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever be a part of the family, friends, and community that loved him.
