This is the life story of Robert “Chopper” McCain; the Man, the Myth, and the Legend.  He was known as  Chopper to family, and friends and was extraordinary and unforgettable; Chopper lived his life to the fullest. Robert’s story started on Saturday, December 11, 1965; weighing a whopping 10lbs. As an infant, Robert was tagged with the nickname Chopper as he loved to eat.   During his childhood, Chopper grew to admire cars from watching the Dukes of Hazard (the  General), Starsky and Hutch, and the Night Rider (Kit). Music began to grow roots within him from Soul Train, 8 track tapes, radio, and dance contests for money at birthday parties. Chop’s vibrant teenage years consist of so many fond memories of pickup basketball games, learning to drive, friends on Howe street, the school proms dressing in tuxedos, being with the young ladies in his life; one he would adore and fall in love with, he would later marry Michelle James and together created a beautiful Princess Airell Rochelle. This period in his life also included the infamous Gault Middle and Lincoln High School friends that stuck closer to Chop than a brother.
Chopper’s love and passion for cars grew into a main hobby by creating The Legion of Doom Car Club and joining clubs such as NW Mini Truck Council, Peer Pressure in Portland Oregon. Chop’s show cars The Leprechaun Corvette and 4U2Trip Trans Am won trophies all over the West Coast, plus he was featured in numerous magazines.  Chop won so many trophies he ran out of room at his house. When not traveling the coast at car shows, chopper could be found with family and friends  playing spades, dominos, or just chilling at the house listening to like, Temptations, Midnight Star, Whoodini, Kenny G, Maxwell, Rapper delight, etc. whatever you wanted to hear, chop had it.
