Ronald Lee Davis  1960 – 2024

Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Davis passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2024 in Tacoma, WA. Ron was born on February 16, 1960 in Fort Lewis, WA to  Betty Jo and Noble Davis Jr. Ron was one of seven children. He grew up off of 56th and I St before moving to the Eastside of Tacoma. He attended   Lincoln High School where he was a basketball standout.

After high school Ron joined the United States Army. He proudly served nine years and had fond memories of being stationed in Germany.  Ron lit up the world with his infectious smile and fun loving personality. He was the embodiment of LOVE and LAUGHTER.

In 1996, Ron and Dana met and immediately fell in love. The two were inseparable soulmates. They not only loved each other, but they shared a love of sports, animals, plants, nature and serving others. They were happily married on July 30th, 2011.  Ron was an excellent chef. He helped open numerous local restaurants such as Steamers, Outback, Loose Wheels, Jimmy G’s and Spanky’s just to name a few. He also worked at Tacoma General Hospital, Katie Downs and Tacoma Elks Club.

Ron took pride in maintaining his yard and caring for his pets Ryder, Belle and Smoky. He absolutely adored his animals and enjoyed sharing photos of them. Ron enjoyed all sports but loved playing recreational basketball and flag football. He was an AVID Las Vegas Raiders fan. He also was a Jordan era Chicago Bulls and Seattle Super Sonics fan.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Betty Jo and Noble Davis Jr. He leaves behind to cherish precious memories, his wife Dana Peterson;      siblings Jacqueline Canley (Willie), Renia Monk (Randy), Anthony Davis, Noble Davis lll (Lisa), Susan Jamison (Christopher), Darrell Davis (Deitra), Steven Shores, Chris Glover and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ron will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
