Wanda Lee Akers, 71, of Auburn, WA, passed away on November 24,2024. She was born to parents Elston J. Akers and Jacqulyn W. Akers, on July 15, 1953 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Wanda graduated from Alleman High School in 1972 and moved to Seattle, WA in 1976 where she went onto study at Seattle University and graduated with Bachelor of Social Science degree. Shortly after graduation she began her journey working for the State of Washington where she worked as a Social Worker. After 27 years of service, she retired in 2015. After retirement Wanda went onto work part time for the Auburn School District. She enjoyed getting all dressed up for a good party, spending time with family, playing dominoes, and planting flowers.
Wanda is survived by three children Venus, Bellamy, and Addie; eleven grandchildren; Shomari, Olivia, Kayleb, Mykayla, Hassani, Kelsey, Jada, Elijah, Carlos, Gabrielle, Jayden and four great grandchildren; Artiste, Zakai, Zakari, Carmelo and siblings; Anna and Willie Jackson of Iowa, Spin and Denise Akers of Georgia, Terri Akers of Indianapolis, James and Rhonda Akers of Virginia, Thomas Akers of Oregon, John Akers of Minnesota, Michael Akers of Illinois, and Corey and Kim Akers of Germany, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
