Jason Gaines passed away in Black Diamond, Washington on August 4, 2024.

Jason Odale Gaines, a beacon of joy and light, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unyielding zest for life. Born with a contagious laugh and an infectious smile, Jason was the life of the party wherever he went. He possessed a unique ability to light up any room, bringing joy and warmth to everyone around him. Jason’s love for his family and friends was unparalleled, always eager to share his thoughts and advice, even when it was unsolicited but always well-intentioned.

Jason lived a life full of rich experiences. He found peace and joy in activities like traveling, yoga, and even the occasional round of golf. His passion for learning led him to dive deep into philosophical books, always seeking to expand his knowledge and understanding of the world around him. A devoted husband, Jason never stopped dating his wife, ensuring their love remained vibrant through countless dinners, brunches, and coffee dates. His playful spirit often led him to surprise family members with unexpected visits, where he would share his signature jokes and brightened everyone’s day.

His sister and niece held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. During his spiritual transformation, Jason focused on mending relationships and spreading love wherever he went. His love for travel was boundless, and he dreamt of living in every place he visited. Jason was an advocate for exploration, encouraging everyone to get their passports and see the world, believing that travel was the key to broadening one’s horizons and experiencing life to its fullest.

Jason’s spirit will forever be remembered by all who knew him. His love, laughter, and passion for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Celebration of life  services will be held 1pm, Friday, August 16, 2024 at East Side Baptist Church 3575 E Portland Ave, Tacoma, WA 98404
