Laverne Anita McKnight was born on  July 11, 1954, in Richmond, South   Carolina, and peacefully passed away in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 69. Laverne accomplished her high school diploma at Bates and worked as a       supervisor for Damco. She had a real love for playing pool, dancing, spending time with family and fashion. Family was incredibly important to her, and she is survived by her sister Rosita McKnight, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews: Latisha Miller, Crystal Miller, Raymel Curry, Jason Curry, Jazmyn Ryan, Dezmyn Trent, Mhar’sulah Hughes-Morrison, Monae Mcknight-Trent, Jonae Brown, Richard McNeair, Johnny Brown, Dezmyn McKnight, Anthony Lambert, Desihri Bostick, Analeia Bostick, Niani Bostick, Jah’reice McNeair and cousins. Laverne had a knack for bringing energy to any situation and was known for her love of the fair and enjoying good food. Playing cards and dominoes were   favorite pastimes. She always knew how to make any gathering festive. Her hardworking nature and vibrant personality made her the life of the party. In heaven, Laverne is now reunited with her mother Bertha McKnight, uncle John McKnight, Jake McKnight, and  sister Edwina McKnight. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for all who knew and loved her.
