Henry Avante Bowie
September 17, 1995 – November 27, 2024

Henry Avante Bowie was born on September 17, 1995, in Lakewood, Washington, at Saint Clare Medical Center, to Henry Bowie III and Tiffany Nicole Murphy. Henry shared a unique bond with his twin sister, Hennessey Cache Bowie, as they were born just fifteen minutes apart.

Henry graduated from Lincoln High School in 2014 and earned his associate degree from Tacoma Community College in 2016 where he participated in Men of Distinction.  Like many children, Henry enjoyed video games, spending time with family and friends, and was involved in Lincoln’s ROTC program—his parents believe he was particularly fond of the uniform.

Henry’s family and friends remember him for his love of cooking, spending hours in the kitchen preparing meals, his profound sense of style and his commitment to staying fit at the gym. However, his greatest passion was music. Henry had an extensive vinyl collection, with hundreds of albums spanning every genre imaginable, a testament to his deep appreciation for music.

Sadly, Henry’s journey with us was cut short. He passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, returning to his creator far too soon. He is survived by his parents, Henry Bowie III and Tiffany Murphy. Three siblings, Hennessey Bowie, Michael Murphy (Tameka Murphy), and Kalupp Murphy. Grandmothers, Brenda Morgan and Gloria Kinlow (late grandfather Samuel Kinlow). Great grandparents Arttie Pearl Kinlow; (late great grandfather Samuel Kinlow Sr.) late great grandmother Thelma McCray.  And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, his niece and nephew as well as other extended family and friends.

Henry’s memory will live on through the love and joy he brought to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.
