April Cherie Bowman
April Cherie Bowman was born in Seattle, Washington on May 24, 1971 to her loving parents. April passed away unexpectedly in Tacoma, Washington on July 16th 2018 at the age of 47. She went to Franklin High School and was a community fixture. She was an outdoors person, who enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and watching comedy movies. April was amazing with people. She spent her life in working retail in customer Service. In 2013 she moved to Anchorage, Alaska. There she raised her two grandchildren while battling end-stage Cancer. April was always concerned about her family. Even while battling end stage cancer she pushed herself to get back to Tacoma for her family reunion and her Aunt Gloria’s birthday party. Our family is devastated by this loss. She is met at heaven’s gates by her mother Ethel White, father Leroy Bowman, half brother Tony Cummings, grandmothers Dorothy Bowman and Essie Bradford, grandfathers Leroy Bowman Sr. and Wallace Bradford. Aunts Jaunita Gains, Wanda Bradford, and Marie Baines, and her precious Uncle Davenport.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Shawndrea Turner, granddaughter Shyonna Lambert-Bowman, Grandson Zayvion Bowman, brothers Anthony White Sr. and Hampton White, nephew Anthony White Jr., and niece Akaya White. Aunts Gloria (James) Bradford, Margaret (Jim) Gratton, Barbara Mobley. Uncle Nathan (Camile) Bradford and a host of cousins and friends and her best friend Shantell George.
