Mother Delores Brown

Delores Frayer was born January 10, 1946 in Seat Pleasant, MD to Willie and Beatrice Frayer and was the first of seven children.   She married James Brown in 1968 and they resided in Tacoma, WA for 43 years until his death in 2011.

Delores provided 33 years of daycare services to hundreds of children and families in the Hilltop community.  Delores provided a loving home and support to over 25 girls in the foster care system

Delores Brown was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James P. Brown; she is survived by her daughter, Patrice Frank (JJ Frank); daughters she raised in her home; brothers Willie Frayer Jr, Bruce Frayer, James Frayer, Donnie Frayer, Michael Frayer, and sister Deborah Thurman; grandchildren nieces, and nephews. Celebration of Life Services for Mother Delores Brown. Funeral Services will be held 11am, Saturday January 29, 2022 at  Altheimer Memorial COGIC 1119 South Altheimer Street Tacoma, WA 98405.

    Mrs. Brown was a pillar of hope not only in her community as a daycare provider, but she was also a mentor in many lives in the classroom, Mrs. Brown love for life was often present in her smile, and thru her wisdom, she was a woman of godly deeds, a legendary of Hilltop, after caring for so many may she rest well in the comforts of Heavenly Father.
