Kenya LaToya Massey was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 11, 2004 to Edna and Kenneth Massey. She was affectionally known as Fat Fat. Kenya passed away on Monday, June 19th, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Washington.

She grew up in Baltimore until she relocated to Tacoma/Bonney Lake Washington. She received her education in the public school system. She loved music and played the trumpet since elementary school. Kenya and her twin sister Kendra were so talented they performed with the symphony orchestra in Baltimore.

Kenya had various jobs. Her last employment was a chef assistant at Seatac Airport. Kenya loved spending time  with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed being with her siblings especially her twin Kendra. She had a special bond with her mother.  Kenya spent   special times with her devoted partner Whitney whom she adored.

Kenya leaves to mourn her mother and father Edna and Kenneth Massey. Seven brothers Markel, Gordon Jr., Kentrell, Ryan, Kenzel and Kenneth (Noodles). Seven sisters Shantrice, Asia, India, Mercedes, Antonice  (Dee Dee), Summer and her twin sister Kendra (Little Bits).  Grandmother Daisy Jackson, three uncles, three aunts, and her special aunt/godmother Deborah Gaters.  She also leaves five nieces, three nephews, one godbrother Juan (Pop). She leaves behind her devoted partner Whitney Wilburn and a host of cousins and friends. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents Jean and Hugh Witherspoon and her uncle John Lemon.

Funeral services will be held 4pm, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Peace Haven Chapel 7714 Douglas Street West Lakewood, WA 98499.
