“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”, (1 Peter 2:9, NKJV)

Dr. Vaetootoo Failauga is the Apostle and Pastor of From Darkness Into the Light Ministries located in Lakewood, Washington and affectionately referred to as “Pastor Vae”.

Pastoring along side his wife, Prophetess Leano Failauga, Founder of From Darkness Into The Light Ministries. God uses him to reveal the powerful meaning of God’s love and inspiration. He leads a congregation solely based on the word of God and inspired to help transform the hearts, minds and souls of God’s people. He oversees eight ordained Christian leaders who actively, humbly and faithfully serve God and the church. He believes in growing Christian leaders and has demonstrated his efforts through the sharing of God’s word, wisdom and mentoring leaders around the world from different walks of life.

Dr. Failuaga heart rests with God and His people, which has been this way since the beginning of his spiritual journey. His continuance to meet the needs of God’s people led him to administer a Food Bank that provides food to the homeless, less fortunate and surrounding churches. His efforts did not stop there. He has collaborated with other ministries to acquire and transport medical supplies to the Philippines, Islands, Uganda, Nigeria, and Ghana several times a year to meet the needs of God’s people.

He has worked for over 33 years diligently and faithfully to forge the ministry God has placed in his care. His passion for Christ and love to serve the church set him apart from the norm. He lives by the word of God and stands on the truth with his actions demonstrating what he preaches on a daily basis. His preaching, laboring, leading, sacrificing, and teaching has impacted and transformed the lives of God’s people.

With the guidance of Pastor Atapana Mamea, as spiritual father and leader, Dr. Failauga was called into the ministry of preaching. He began ministering to lost souls on the Tacoma Hilltop where ‘street ministry’ became his passion. God used him to minister the restoring message of God’s love and forgiveness to unsaved souls, to lead sinners to God and to compassionately lead backsliders to God. He strongly believes, “The fruit of righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise”, (Proverbs 11:30, NKJV). Ministering to lost souls and backsliders remains the passion of Dr. Failuaga today.

In 1984, Dr. Failauga and his uncle, Pastor Atapana Mamea started Tacoma Grace Assembly of God located in Tacoma, Washington. After 11 years of faithful service, he was led to start the Hilltop Christian Center in Tacoma, Washington. On the hilltop, he orchestrated block parties from years 1996 – 2000, where as fellowship, food, clothes, and prayer took notice by the community, shifted the atmosphere, and helped to win souls for the Kingdom of God. As of today, the block parties are still part of the community and continue to bless the lives of God’s people. As he continued to lead God’s people to Christ, he planted the Potter’s House in 1995 that is now called New Beginnings Christian Center located in Tacoma, Washington under the leadership of Senior Pastor Moe (his brother).

Dr. Failauga is married to his caring and loving wife, Prophetess Leano Failauga. After more than 36 years of marriage, their relationship continues to reunite in love and respect for one another. Most importantly, the marriage is built and rests on Christ. They are the proud parents of six girls and two boys and gracefully thankful to God for them. They are also the proud grandparents of twelve grandchildren and continue to thank God for the grandchild who now rests with the Lord. He strongly believes that we should never give-up on our children. If God never gives-up on His children, why should we?  He is a dedicated man of God with compassion, love and grace. He is known to be a man of good character and a powerful example that with faith and prayer, God does “Changes Lives and Things.”
