Mother Lacie Filmore was born in 1932 and passed November 4, 2023 in Lakewood, WA.  She was one of the five children born to Mr. and Mrs. Bullock.  Mother Filmore was married to Al Filmore in 1953 and to their union were 5 children born.

Serving the Lord with Gladness has been her life long work. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Pacific Lutheran University and worked for the State of Washington.  She was a chaplain, a counselor, a volunteer at  nursing homes, and a constant witness for the Lord. She traveled in her early married years to far away countries, and had marvelous  experiences.  In addition to these achievements The Lord was gracious to Mother Filmore and to the other gospel workers of that time.  Evangelist Finkley and Evangelist Filmore worked together for many years in the  Evangelistic Day services and in Weekly prayer events.  Sister J. Gilven and her husband were also very good friends to her and shared many great opportunities. For years she volunteered with Mother P. Kinlow and with J. Merriweather. Mother Filmore was a quick witted, strong, and a determined individual. She had goals and wonderful ideas.  As an active participant in the church she worked on the Usher Board, and in the Missionary Circle, Childrens Church, Vacation Bible School, the Missionettes, and various community feeding programs. She was willing to witness to those who needed another “CHANCE”. She believed that the Lord sent her to be that Chance for many to repent, to turn, and to get to know Him.

She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Alchristi Renae and great grand daughter Imani Unique Harmony. She is survived by her four children: Dorcas (Andre),  Michelle (William)  Al (Kristen) and Samuela. Four grand children Shaficka, Mikkos (Bonita), Edward and Andre.  Two great grand children Mikhai, and Gabriel. She and her younger sister (Janie) were the two remaining siblings. Janie continues to be an inspiration to the family  with her children Vincent, Kim, and Chet. As well as other nieces and nephews: Vestal Thomas and family,  Greg Thomas and family, Lavonda Bullock, Lenny Bullock, and Samantha Boyd and   family.
