Vivian Joyce Jones

Vivian Joyce Jones, born in Houston and the last surviving child of George & Sallie Brazill, was called home to be with her Lord on June 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Woodrow Jones Sr, her younger son Michael Jones, siblings Rev. E.S. Brazill, Vernon Brazill, Teresa Brazill, Lucy B. Marshall, and Bennie Mae Slaughter. She is survived by her children Woodrow Jones Jr (Virginia) and Jeane Jones Parker, as well as numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Vivian served as a Deaconess at Shiloh Baptist Church, a member of the gospel chorus and the women’s mission circle. She was a beacon of light for the church community, her family and all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by everyone, but we know she has gone to that promised better place where she will be welcomed as a good and faithful servant.

She loved wearing beautiful hats to Sunday Services, and we invite you to wear your favorite hat to her home going ceremony. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 30th at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1211 So. I, Tacoma, WA 98405
